Brijuni
Brijuni is an island group off the west coast of Istria, whose most beautiful part was declared a National Park in 1983. It is about 6 km from Pula, separated by the Fažana Channel, through which a boat to Brijuni runs daily from the port of Fažana. The Brijuni archipelago consists of 2 larger islands - Veliki and Mali Brijun - and 13 smaller islets with very indented coastlines, which have been inhabited since prehistoric times.
The islands are known for their very mild climate, so the vegetation is exceptionally lush, and the national park is planted with tropical plants that form specially arranged avenues, parks and gardens. The zoo on Brijuni is open-air, so the animals roam freely around the island, and there is also a safari park. As for sports, Brijuni offers truly everything: horse riding, golf, tennis, sailing, windsurfing, bicycle and boat hire, diving, and guests have numerous sports grounds, playgrounds and halls at their disposal.
A holiday on Brijuni is meant for guests who look for the highest category of accommodation and the best range of additional facilities.
